For the portrayal of asceticism, China and India are slightly different. They are both bony and prominent. When India portrays Sakyamuni’s practice, it often appears in the image of meditation, while when China portrays the image of Dharma, it often appears in a relaxed and comfortable manner, giving people a sense of closeness.
