The fan page has its own title: “Ren Shen wrote like Shu Zhao’s brother in autumn. Fan Jue.” Seal “Shuangyu” Zhu Wenyin
“Renshen” is the fifth year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty (1632)
The composition of this fan is unique. It is close to the upper edge of the fan and draws the drooping orchid, which reflects the growth of orchid from bottom to top. Each piece of orchid leaf is painted in one stroke. The lines are natural and unrestrained, and they are interspersed with each other. They vividly show the delicate texture of orchid and the gentle breeze, which is characterized by the ink of scholars of the Wumen School of Painting
