[Dai Jinmo Song scroll]
Ink Song scroll, Ming, Dai Jinzuo, paper, color setting, 29.4 cm vertically and 148.2 cm horizontally
This volume is signed with “Xihu Jing’an pen”, “Qiantang Dai”, “Wenjin” and “Zhuxue study”. “Bamboo Snow Study” is Dai Jin’s room number when he was in Beijing. From the seal on the picture, we can see that this picture should be made by Dai Jin while he was in Beijing. This painting inherits the tradition of literati ink painting in the Song and Yuan dynasties. It uses a more relaxed ink painting method to draw concrete and real images. The ink color is rich in layers, with sharp contrast between dry and wet, and the brush painting of pine branches and grass leaves is sharp, showing Dai Jin’s painting face that absorbs the nutrition of literati painting without losing his personal ink style
This picture is in the same volume as Zhu Kongyang’s “Misty Rain on the Xiang River”
