This painting was painted in the fifth year of Mingjingtai (1454), when Du Qiong was 59 years old. The peaks in the picture are towering, and the peaks in the middle and lower part of the picture are separated by a curved river. There is a villa grass pavilion between the trees in the valley at the lower right of the picture, and a scholar is reading in the grass pavilion; On the bridge, a scholar with a stick and a boy came to the villa. The composition of this painting is full, and the rocks are covered with round and fine hemp, thick ink and moss. It is one of the representative works of the painter imitating the style of Wang Meng of the Yuan Dynasty. Du Qiong has a lot of experience in learning from Wang Meng. When he was 52 years old, he wrote “The Water and Ink Landscape of Luoxuan Hall” and said: “I am the best at learning from the Yellow Crane (Wang Meng).” When Gu Fu commented on the “Map of the Spring” he wrote in the orthodox years, he also said that he was “learning from Shuming (Wang Meng), who can get rid of the habit of practice, and is naturally elegant”
