Tang Yin’s Plum View Axis

[Axis of Tang Yin’s Plum Viewing Map]

Axis of the Plum Viewing Map, Ming Dynasty, Tang Yin’s painting, paper version, light color, 108.6 cm vertically and 34.5 cm horizontally
This painting has seven unique poems: “There are two official plum trees and flowers in the end of the sky and the valley. You can stand on the sand with your hands. Sumen Tang Yin wrote for Mr. Xu of the plum valley.” After that, there is a red seal, which is indistinct. At the top of the painting center are three poems written by Du Mu, Hao (seal of “Wuchen Jinshi”) and Wang Yingpeng of the Ming Dynasty
The painting shows a high scholar standing on a stream bridge with his arm outstretched, and two plum blossoms are in bud on the edge of the cliff behind him, which is very consistent with the author’s poem. The composition of the whole painting is based on the style of the Southern Song Dynasty. It strives to win in danger. The outline of the mountains, rocks and trees is appropriate, and the halo is more than the chap. The clean and crisp strokes and the quiet background highlight the noble and clean image of the main character. The line drawing of the characters is fine and smooth, and the shape is handsome and elegant. From the perspective of creative style, it should be Tang Yin’s works after middle age
This picture was collected by Bi Yuan and others in the Qing Dynasty.
