The Longevity Map volume, Ming Dynasty, Zhu Zhanji’s painting, silk edition, color setting, 29.3 cm vertically and 35.6 cm horizontally
The signature of this picture: “The painting of the birthday star is written by the Royal Brush Drama, and Xia Yuanji, the crown prince of Shaobao and the secretary of the Ministry of Household, is given.” The two seals of “Treasure of Guangyun” and “Book of the Imperial Mansion” are stamped. In the picture, the longevity star stands beside the stream at the foot of the mountain, with a short body, long head, high forehead, white beard and hair, wearing a large robe, and holding his hands in front of his chest like a meditative one. The birthday star has a vivid appearance and distinctive features. Its clothing patterns are hard and soft, and the description of mountains and stones is rough and powerful, which shows the painting attainments of Emperor Xuanzong of the Ming Dynasty
It was purchased in Xiangyin, Hunan in 1997.
