[To Shun Xinwei mirror]
To Shun Xinwei mirror, yuan, face diameter 19.9 cm
The mirror is round and the button is missing. With the mirror button as the center, there is a bearded fairy sitting at the lower end of the pine tree on the right side, and there is a maid holding a plate beside it. The lower part opposite the fairy is decorated with a small bridge running water. A sika deer is walking to the bridge, and the deer queen is holding a respect for an old man. The stone door above the left side is half open, and a crane looks out of the door. There are three inscriptions on the back of the mirror: “Zhishun Xinweizhi”, “He Dezheng Building in Hongduzhang Town”, and “Living in Changsha”
“Hongdu” refers to Nanchang, Jiangxi Province. “Zhishun Xinwei” is the second year (1331) of the Zhishun reign of Tutu Muer, Emperor Wenzong of the Yuan Dynasty.
