The scroll of eight flowers selected by Qian

[Eight Flowers with Money]

Eight Flowers with Money, Yuan Dynasty, money, paper, color, 29.4 cm vertical, 333.9 cm horizontal
This volume describes eight flowers, such as Begonia, Pear, Apricot, Narcissus, Peach, and Peony, in a segmented way. Each flower is relatively independent, and the combination becomes a whole. The eight kinds of flowers have different postures, with no difference between the back and the back. The strokes are soft and vigorous, meticulous, and the colors are elegant, and the colors are appropriate. The whole painting is exquisite but not flat, delicate but not delicate. In the lower right corner of the front of this painting, there is a seal “Shun Ju” and a postscript by Zhao Mengfu of the Yuan Dynasty at the end: “The authentic eight flowers painted by Shun Ju, selected by Wu Xingqian, are similar in style, but the Fu is very beautiful. Later, the Duke was drunk with wine, and his fingers were trembling, and it is difficult to reproduce this. But the later generations in the countryside mostly imitate it, and there is the disadvantage of the owner’s heart holding, so this volume is really valuable. Zhao Mengfu of the same county was born on September 4, the sixth year of the Zhiyuan era.”
