In the painting, a man in black hat and red clothes is slowly walking on the flat slope on a black horse, holding a slingshot in his hand, looking up leisurely, as if searching for prey, with vivid and vivid eyes. In the picture, people and horses first draw lines in light ink, and then apply colors to make them even and clean. Trees are painted with double hooks, neat and fine. The painting style of the whole picture is simple and elegant, with the style of Tang people. I knew that “I looked at Zhongmu’s painting in April of the seventh year of Zhizheng”, and sealed “Zhongmu” and “Tianshui Book”. The seventh year of the Zhizheng period of the Yuan Dynasty was 1347. On the top of the painting is a poem written by the Yuan Dynasty scholar

There are few works depicting the leisurely hunting of hunters like this, which are very ingenious and intriguing. Zhao Yong’s unique and ingenious painting style can be seen here
