On the basis of inheriting the neat and fine modeling methods that have matured in the two Song dynasties, the architectural painting of the Yuan Dynasty gradually pushed the architectural painting to the realm of pure painting with the help of the ink painting techniques prevailing in the Yuan Dynasty and the line drawing techniques of Li Gonglin in the Northern Song Dynasty. Although this painting still integrates the halls and pavilions into the natural scenery of mountains and rivers, the author focuses on the architectural body. The landscape is no longer important. The description of buildings is subtle, and the subtle realism of architectural paintings has reached the extreme.
