[Drawing page of Xia Yongying Water Tower]

Drawing page of Ying Water Tower, Yuan, Xia Yonghua, silk, ink, 23.9 cm in length and 25.3 cm in width
This picture has no style. The opposite is a poem written by Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty. The seal is printed with the collection seals of Qianlong’s internal government, and the other seal is “Wu Zicun”
Because another master of painting in the Yuan Dynasty, Wang Zhenpeng, once painted the Daming Palace, and in the poem of Qianlong, there was a statement that “the next is the sky above the ground, and the majestic spirit is in the imagination. The Pingle Hall is unknown this day, and he wrote the Daming Palace in his early years”, so this painting was mistakenly identified as Wang Zhenpeng’s painting. In fact, although Xia Yong’s painting is from Wang Zhenpeng, he is good at small painting. This picture is slightly inferior to Wang Zhenpeng in artistry, but the fine and fine line drawing seems to be even better. Just as Xiong Zhijin’s “Smile among Flowers” commented that his painting was “as thin as a mosquito’s eyelashes, and like a ghost’s work”
