The bricks are nearly square, and the inner surface of the bricks is chiseled into a pot door shape. On the right side of the picture, the rider arches with a bow; The next man on the left, dressed in deerskin, has a beam pot beside him, and holds the flying arrow with both hands, as if explaining something to the archer. This picture depicts the story of the milk of the deer, the son of the Twenty-four Filial Piety. Shen Zi, also known as Tanzi, whose parents are old and both suffer from blindness, and want to eat deer milk. 睒睒睒睒睒睒睒睒睒睒睒睒睒睒睒睒睒睒睒睒睒睒睒睒睒睒睒睒睒. Once, when he met a hunter, he had to take off the deerskin and tell the truth. His filial piety moved the gods, and his parents’ eye diseases did not heal themselves
This story originates from the Buddhist scriptures. According to the Buddhist monk Shi Shengjian’s translation of the Sutra of Buddha Saying Son during the Sixteen Kingdoms Period, in the past, there was an elderly couple who were blind and went to the mountain to seek Tao. All Miaoxing Bodhisattvas are compassionate and reborn in the family of the elderly, named “Shizi”. 睒 Zi is extremely benevolent and filial. He is over 10 years old. He wears deerskin clothes and carries a bottle of water. At that time, the king of Gayi went into the mountain to shoot, and shot his son with a bow. His parents prayed for him, and Shi Sanskrit poured magic medicine into his mouth for four days, pulled the arrow from his body, and brought him back to life. His parents were surprised and both eyes were open. This content is depicted in the story painting of 睒 Zi Bunsheng in the Northern Wei Dynasty in the Mogao Grottoes of Dunhuang. Later generations adapted this foreign story to make Yan Zi a man of the Zhou Dynasty, and changed the way of taking water from deer skin into taking milk from deer to filial piety
Chinese culture is very inclusive. It constantly absorbs the essence of foreign cultures and forms its own unique connotation. The Buddhist story with filial piety is integrated into it for my own use, and filial piety is one of them.
