Min Ziqian persuades his father

[Min Ziqian advised father brick]

Min Ziqian advised father brick, Northern Song Dynasty, 19.5 cm high, 26 cm wide and 3 cm thick
The brick is rectangular, the inside of the brick is chiseled into the shape of a pot door, and the words “Min Ziqian” are engraved on it. There are five people on the screen, including Min’s parents on the left and three Min’s brothers in the middle. The younger brother is holding his mother’s clothes and doesn’t want him to leave. The older brother hides his face and cries alone. Min Ziqian bows and arches his hand and is trying to persuade his father to change his mind
Min Ziqian advised his father to be one of the stories of twenty-four filial piety. Min Shi, Zi Qian, was born in Lu during the Spring and Autumn Period and a student of Confucius. Min Ziqian’s stepmother was unkind. She only cared for her two children and didn’t care about him at all. When winter came, the son born to his stepmother wore thick cotton clothes, while Min Ziqian wore clothes full of reed flowers, which looked thick but could not keep out the cold. When Min’s father knew it, he wanted to leave his stepmother. Min Ziqian sobbed and persuaded his father that his mother was in a single child and his mother went to three children. The father changed his mind, and the stepmother became aware of it. Descendants praised: “There is a wise man in the Min family. Why should I blame my stepmother? If my mother stays in front of the car, the three sons will be free from wind and frost.”
