In front of the water is the inscription of Jin Zhangzong’s thin and thin gold body book: “Grazing Map of Qixu River and Mountain”. Qingliang Qingbiao Bookmark: “Northern Song Dynasty Qixu Jiangshan grazing map banana forest collection”. The collection is printed with Jin Zhangzong’s “Inner Hall Treasure”, “Mingchang”, “Mingchang Treasure Play”, and “Royal Palace Treasure Painting”; Geng Zhaozhong of the Qing Dynasty “Geng Zhaozhong believed that the name of Gongshi was collected in Changbai Mountain under the name of Liang”, and Liang Qingbiao “Jiaolin”, “View its outline”, as well as the seals of Qianlong, Jiaqing and Xuantong emperors
This picture is a flat composition with a wide view. The picture depicts the scene of cowboys herding cattle on the slope of the lake in early spring. It is a typical sketch of the Song Dynasty custom. The works show the cows in various moods. They either drink with their heads down, or raise their heads, or turn around to look at them, or move forward sideways. They all look vivid and interesting, showing the author’s skillful brushwork skills and accurate modeling ability. The trees in the picture have the style of rough and simple portrayed by Li Tang of the Song Dynasty. The trunk of the tree is outlined with thick lines and rubbed with moist ink, showing the beauty of Cang Jian and Qiu Qu; The leaves are expressed by the delicate method of leaf clipping, with the center stroke, and the lines are round and neat, showing the beauty of the trees. The performance of the slope stones on the embankment is ingenious. The edges are marked with zigzag ink lines, and the slope surface is dyed with stone green halo. The bright colors not only enrich the color of the picture, but also add the spring breath of the recovery of all things to the whole picture. The author organically integrates the leisurely and comfortable cattle with the beautiful environment, and the picture is permeated with rich local customs
This painting is the only work of Qi Xuliu that has survived to this day.
