This page depicts a bay of Qingxi River. The waterside pavilion is hidden in the lush green trees and bamboos. The background is steep and brush, and the waterfalls are like practice. The stream is rushing against rocks, and the clear waves sweep the bank. It is full of the vitality of summer nature. In the water pavilion, a high-ranking scholar sat with his chest bare, gazing at the ripples and thinking. The whole painting does not need a ruler, and the rough strokes are only hand-painted waterside pavilions. The characters, trees and stones, and buildings are quite interesting, and have the flavor of literati painting. It is an early work of “freehand brushwork pavilions”.
