Ru kiln azure glaze bowl

[Ru Kiln Tianqing Glazed Bowl]

Ru Kiln Tianqing Glazed Bowl, Song Dynasty, height 6.7 cm, caliber 17.1 cm, foot diameter 7.7 cm
The bowl is skimmed, the deep arc belly, and the circle foot is slightly skimmed. The carcass is light and thin. The whole body is covered with light sky blue glaze, the glaze is translucent and pure, and the glaze surface has fine lines. The outsole has five small burnt nail marks, and is engraved with a poem inscribed by Emperor Qianlong in official script. The poem said:
The secret weapon is still passed on to the ancient land, but there is no pottery cave left
However, we have been thinking for a long time. How can we compete for excellence and efficiency
The mouth is from the Chinese standard, and it is as good as the Chinese standard
The circle is cut close to your way, and you dare to forget your playthings
At the end of the sentence, sign the “Emperor’s Title of the Midspring of the Dingyou Period of the Qianlong Period”, and affix the two seals of “Guxiang” and “Taipu”. “Dingyou of Qianlong” is the forty-second year of Qianlong, 1777 A.D
This bowl has a regular shape, fine texture, and its glaze is like the blue sky reflected by the lake water. It can be regarded as an exquisite rarity
At present, there are only two Ruyao bowls handed down in the Song Dynasty. In addition to this one, the Great Vader Foundation in London, UK also collects one.
