[Bodhisattva image long banner]
Bodhisattva image long banner, five generations, vermilion silk, yellow line drawing, the banner is 250 cm in length and 57 cm in width
The head of the flag is triangular, and yellow silk is pasted on both sides. The two oblique corners are broken. No flag tail. A section of the flag body is vermilion silk, which is basically intact. A sitting Buddha is painted in the triangular frame of the flag head, and clouds and curtains are painted under it. The flag body depicts a statue of Bodhisattva with yellow lines. The bodhisattva has round cheeks, full shoulders, thin waist and long arms, slightly “S” shaped waist, wears a three-bead garland crown, has a head light, hangs a folded flower cover on the top, wears gauze, necklaces and wreaths, wears arm bracelets and wrist bracelets, wraps a long skirt around the waist, and steps barefoot on the lotus
The bodhisattva in this banner is dignified and plump, and the lines are refined and mature, which is consistent with the style of the “Long Banner of Bodhisattva Statue in the Five Dynasties” collected by the British Museum.
