This volume depicts the summer scenery in ancient palaces and courtyards. The palaces, buildings, boats and carts are as fine as hair. The mountains and stones are drawn with fine brush, slightly chapped and heavily green. At the same time, a large number of gold lines are used to outline the building outline and the water texture of the net towel, which is brilliant, bright and decorative. This volume was donated by Mr. Wu Ying in 1947 to the Palace Museum in 1955. There is a long title at the back of the volume. This volume is determined to be the “General Tang Dali’s Lotus Picking in the Imperial Garden” recorded in Zhang Chou’s “The Painting Boat in the Qinghe River”. After textual research by relevant scholars, this volume was written by the Southern Song Dynasty. Although it was not written by Li Sixun’s father and son, it still reflects some characteristics of the early blue-green pavilion painting.
