Qinglong Stone

[Qinglong Stone]

Qinglong Stone, Sui Dynasty, 84 cm high and 104 cm long
The image of the green dragon is directly related to the worship of the original stars and is one of the main gods worshipped by ancient humans. Ancient gods and men, such as Zhu Rong, Zhuan Xu, and the Yellow Emperor, often rode the dragon. This portrait is a stone dragon with a kylin head, a carp tail, a long beard on the face, and antlers like deer. The front paw leaps forward, and the rear paw pushes hard. There are auspicious clouds under the feet. The person who guards the dragon wears a tall hat, a thin face, and a wide-sleeved coat. The ribbon winds around the shoulders and then flies upward. Hold the reins with both hands, and hold the noodles. The relief method is adopted for the stone relief, and the shape has a sense of flying, which is obviously influenced by the artistic style of the Wei, Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties
