The Statue of Avalokita in Diaozhao, the second year of Wuding in the Eastern Wei Dynasty (544), is 27 cm high and 13 cm wide
Guanyin wears a trefoil crown on her head, hair is tied with silk ribbon, and has a necklace. The silk cloth is worn in the abdomen and the skirt is worn underneath. The right hand holds the lotus bud, the left hand holds the peach shape, and stands upright on the lotus stage with bare feet. Boat-shaped backlight. Below is a rectangular seat. A vow was inscribed on the seat: “On April 21, the second year of Wuding, Di Zhao made a jade statue of Avalokitesvara for himself. One was a dead parent, a family member, and a Buddha after suffering. I also wish that the land would be safe, the people would be happy, and all living beings in the Dharma world would become Buddhas together. I wish this is what I wish.” This statue was unearthed in Quyang County, Hebei Province
