Guanyin wears a column-shaped treasure crown on her head. Her hair is split in the middle and her head is slightly tilted forward. It is separated from the backlight and connected with a stone pillar in the middle. The navicular backlight is carved with flame lines in the outer area and sawtooth lines in the inner area. Concentric round head light, carved with lotus petal pattern. Avalokitesvara is decorated with a collar, and the cloth is crossed in front of the abdomen in a double U-shape, and folded around the arm and hung down on the knee. His right hand was raised to hold the lotus bud, but it was missing. His left hand hung down to hold the jade ring, and he was wearing a long skirt. The skirt swayed the ground. Guanyin stands on the lotus platform with bare feet. The lotus petal is pointed and the middle edge is raised. The inscription on the right and back sides of the square stone seat reads: “In the fifth year of the true king, the Buddha disciple Wang Qi created a section (body) of the Avalokitesvara statue together. The upper part is the emperor, the seventh generation of parents, the family members of the former family, and all living beings, who are free from suffering and happy, act like a Bodhisattva, and become a Buddha.” This stone statue is one of a group of stone statues unearthed at the site of the Xiude Temple in Quyang, Hebei Province, in 1954, with its own chronological inscription, It is a valuable material for studying the art and history of the late Northern Wei Dynasty
