[Di Xunsheng made the stone Avalokitesvara]

Di Xunsheng made the stone Avalokitesvara in the fifth year of Zhengguang in the Northern Wei Dynasty (524), with a height of 28.5 cm
Guanyin wears a trefoil crown on her head, with her hair tied, her head tilted to the left, and her eyes are beautiful and slightly smiling. The shoulders are covered with silk, the skirt is under, the lower edge of the skirt is slightly outward, the neck is decorated, the left hand is holding lotus buds, the right hand is holding jade rings, the chest is flat belly drum, the bare feet stand on the double-petal lotus seat, and the bottom is a plain base. Boat-shaped ribbon flame pattern backlight, the head light is five concentric rings. Clothes, backlight, lotus seed and lotus cover all give people a heavy feeling, showing the characteristics of the early white stone statue in Quyang. It is also rare to carve a vow on the front of the base. Its vow text: “On August 8, the fifth year of Wu (Zheng) Guang, Di Xunsheng Jingzuo created Guanyin District 1, with the royal Yonglong on the top, and the seventh generation of parents, his family members, Cang (Cang) Sheng in the Dharma world, and Qi Si Ze, □ □ waiting for (waiting for) the Buddha.” The Northern Wei Dynasty did not have the Wu Guang year number, which should be the error of Zheng Guang. “District” is written in the custom of “body”, “Cang” is written in the custom of “Cang”, and “waiting” is the error of “waiting”. The vast majority of white stone sculptures in Quyang, Hebei Province are folk ones, and clerical errors and popular writing are one of their typical characteristics.
