Huang Yubi Button “Chen Wushang Print”

[Topaz nose button “Chen Wu Shang Yin”]

Topaz nose button “Chen Wu Shang Yin”, Eastern Han Dynasty, printed 1.7 × 1.7cm, 1.2cm high
It is made of printed yellow jade, cut, and nose button. The printed text is in Chinese seal and white characters, and the words “Chen Wu Shang Yin” are read from the top right. The characters “Chen” and “Shang” on the upper row of the printing surface are both left and right structures, and the strokes are complex. The characters “Wu” and “Yin” on the lower row are upper and lower structures, and the strokes are relatively simple. If the four-character layout is equidistant, the printing surface will be unbalanced. When making this print, the upper row of two characters takes up a little more than the lower row of two characters, which takes up a little more than the print surface. The effect is very good. The printed jade is as yellow as wax but not fresh, with insufficient gloss and more than warm and moist. The printed jade is slightly yellow in color, naturally wrapped around the printed body, moist and elegant
This is the private seal of the Eastern Han Dynasty. There are few four-character seals in the jade seals of the Han Dynasty, and this jade seal is the smaller one. Only the jade seal of “Zhang Long’s private seal” of the Han Dynasty, which has been handed down, can enter the seal with four characters and be refined. The name of the person in charge of the printing is “no injury”, which is a common name in the Han Dynasty. Other synonyms such as “no disease”, “no disease”, “no harm”, “no disease” and “no disease” are also common names in the Han Dynasty.
