Vertical: 25.9 cm, horizontal (half open): 26.35 cm
This is the rubbings of the early Qing Dynasty. The ink page is three and a half open, and the Gao German-born postscript is undamaged
The stone carving was made in the second year of the Wufeng reign of Emperor Xuan of the Western Han Dynasty (56 BC). In the second year of Jin Mingchang’s reign (1191), when the Kaizhou governor, Gao German-born, was supervising the repair of the Confucius Temple, he got it at the Prince’s Fishing Pool, 30 steps southwest of the site of Lu Lingguang Temple. Calligraphers often cite the official script as an example. Kang Youwei also believes that stone is “the beginning of Hanli”. The stone is now in the Han and Wei Steles Exhibition Hall in Qufu, Shandong Province
