Lu Xiang visited the ruins of the Confucius Temple

[Lu Xiangye Memorial Monument of Confucius Temple]

Vertical: 94 cm, horizontal: 63 cm, lateral vertical: 109 cm, horizontal: 24.5 cm. Donated by Zhu Yiyu and his family
Here are two rubbings of the Qing Dynasty. Huang Yi identified it, signed it and sealed it with “the gold and stone obtained by Komatsu”
The inscriptions on the stele are square and fat, broad and thick, and look like Lu Jun Stele. There was no extension of the tablet in the past. In December of the fifty-fourth year of Qianlong’s reign (1789), He Menghua washed it out. The inscription on the tablet is not readable. He Menghua washed the stone and refined the ink. There are many recognizable characters. He’s rubbings on the yin side are mostly visible, and the inscription is also clear. The monument is now in the Han and Wei Steles Exhibition Hall in Qufu, Shandong Province
Huang Yi’s bibliography of small Penglai Pavilion. Huang Yi also collected the “Yan’s Han Relic Stele” and the “Bamboo Leaf Stele”, which are also the fine rubbings of He Menghua’s washing tablet. In addition, Huang Yi once wrote “The Painting of Dishi Stele” to record the second paragraph of “The Stone Stele of Shi Chen” obtained by He Menghua at the Confucius Temple in Qufu during the reign of Emperor Qianlong Youyou and the washing of “Lu Xiang Visiting the Remaining Stele of the Confucius Temple” and “The Bamboo Leaf Stele”. He regretted that the painting had been lost and did not know its end
