. Dan, Wang Gedashi, ascended the throne. The king
called the teacher to call the Supreme Master in the morning and set up the
Central Court. Wang Huzai [0092] bestowed the crown prince a tiger fur. Bow down and jishou. Dare to show off to Yang Tian
Zi Pi and use it as a treasure. 虘 Its

The main idea of the inscription: In the first month of the twelfth year of the king of Zhou, on the day of Jiawu when the sun and the moon are opposite, the king is in the division and measurement palace of the land of Zhou. At dawn, Wang arrived at the hall of the Zong Temple and took his seat. In the morning, Wang Hushi summoned Taishi to the door and stood in the middle of the courtyard. The king Huzai [0092] rewarded the grand master with a tiger skin robe. The Grand Master bowed and kowtowed. In order to thank and publicize the great and prominent reward of the Son of Heaven, I made this precious Gui. This Gui has been treasured for thousands of years
This inscription has a complete chronology, including the year, month, phase of the moon, and Ganzhi day. Among the more than 10000 bronze wares of the Yin and Zhou dynasties with inscriptions, there are only more than 30 such as Gui, which can record the time completely. It is a valuable data for studying the calendar and time of the Western Zhou Dynasty
