Cui Gui is 21.1cm in height, 23.8cm in width and 3.96kg in weight
This Gui is round, extravagant, folded, bulging, with two ears, a cover, a round catch on the top of the cover, and three short feet under the circle foot. The neck and the cover are decorated with a band of pilferage patterns, the abdomen and the cover are decorated with straight lines, and the ring foot is decorated with a thick string pattern
Gui cover and vessel inscription, 3 lines and 16 characters:
Cui Zuo Wang Mu is ashamed of
Gui with the surname of “0221”. Sham’s
eyebrows will last ten thousand years
The inscription records that Cui made Gui for her mother-in-law’s sake, hoping that she would live a long life and use this Gui
This Gui was unearthed in Luoyang, Henan Province. There are 4 pieces of Tongming Gui handed down, and two pieces are collected in the Forbidden City of Beijing and the Forbidden City of Taipei respectively.
