In the original picture, this Jiangdong Bridge is mostly called POLAMBRIDGEAMOY (Punan Bridge in Xiamen), and some landscape photos are labeled VIEWSOFAMOY (Xiamen’s scenery). So many people mistakenly think that this group of photos is about Xiamen. In fact, they are mistaken. This group of photos was taken in Zhangzhou, Fujian Province in 1900

Jiangdong Bridge, formerly known as Hudu Bridge, Jiangdong Ancient Bridge and Tongji Bridge, is a bridge connecting Taiwan Investment Zone and Longwen District in Zhangzhou City. Located on the Beixi (Liuying River) waterway of the Jiulong River, it is the largest and most reconstructed Shiliang Bridge in the world, formerly known as“ The thoroughfare of three provinces&rdquo& ldquo; Bamin Town", It is one of the ten famous bridges in ancient China, and was once the only way for Fujian Guangdong and Fujian Hunan highways

江东桥（Jiangdong Bridge），曾用名虎渡桥、江东古桥、通济桥，是漳州市境内连接台商投资区和龙文区的一座桥梁，位于九龙江北溪（柳营江）水道之上，是世界最大最重构件的石梁桥，古称“三省通衢”，“八闽重镇"，是中国古代十大名桥之一，曾是闽粤、闽湘公路必经之路。

1900年江东桥风景

漳州江东桥简史：

宋绍熙间（1190至1194年)，在江东桥位置架设浮桥；宋嘉定七年（1214年），建造石墩木面桥，命名“通济桥”，又称“虎渡桥”；宋嘉熙元年（1237年），虎渡桥改建梁式石桥；宋淳元年（1241年）三月，虎渡桥投入使用；民国17年（1928年），虎渡桥石梁桥改建为简易的钢筋水泥桥，并更名为“江东桥”；民国19年（1930年），江东桥建成通车；民国27年（1938年），国民政府驻军于厦门沦陷后炸毁江东桥，阻止日军进犯漳州，后又遭日机炸毁3段；1953年，江东桥改建为钢筋混凝土梁贝雷架木面桥；1972年，江东桥改建成混凝土结构公路大桥。
