Folk beliefs with the most widely distributed old photos of local temples in China during the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China-China Archive

The Tudi Temple is a temple dedicated to the land god among Chinese people, and it is also the most dedicated temple. Most of the earth temples were built spontaneously by the people, belonging to the most widely distributed sacrificial buildings. They are distributed in villages all over the country, so that where people live, there are places to worship the land god&mdash& mdash; Earth Temple. Because of their low divinity and basic beliefs, most of them are simple in shape, or in front of the house or under a tree or by the roadside, with two stones as the wall and one as the top, they can become an earth temple, commonly known as" Lei; Type Earth Temple

The land god originated from the worship of land ownership by ancient people. The land can produce grain, which is human’s“ Food and clothing parents”, Because of this, people sacrifice to the land. As a place where people focus on worshiping the Earth God, the Earth Temple naturally flourished. According to Chinese customs, everyone is born with“ Temple King Land&rdquo& mdash;& mdash; The local temple is similar to everyone’s native place; After a person dies, he or she will get the local temple when he or she goes through the transcendence ceremony and becomes a Taoist temple

The author mainly collects and sorts out the old photos of the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China. Recently, he has compiled a group of images of the Tudi Temple in the old photos of various parts of China during this period. Let’s go to see what the Tudi Temple looks like a hundred years ago

土地庙是中国民间供奉土地神的庙宇，也是供奉最多的庙宇。土地庙多为民间自发建立，属于分布最广的祭祀建筑，全国各地乡村均有分布，以至凡有民众居住的地方就有供奉土地神的地方——土地庙。因神格不高，且为基层信仰，多半造型简单，或于屋前或于树下或于路旁，以两块石头为壁，一块为顶，即可成为土地庙，俗称"磊"型土地庙。

土地神源于远古人们对土地权属的崇拜。土地能生五谷，是人类的“衣食父母”，因*而人们祭祀土地。土地庙作为人们集中祭祀土地神的地方，自然随之兴盛起来。按照中国的习俗，每个人出生都有“庙王土地”——即所属的土地庙，类似于每个人的籍贯；人去世之后行超度仪式即做道场时都会获取其所属土地庙。

笔者主要收集整理清朝、民国时期的老照片，最近整理出一组这个时间段内中国各地老照片中的土地庙影像，就让我们一去见见识下百年前的土地庙是什么样子。
