Share a group of old photos of Yichang, Hubei in 1909, and the magnificent historical images of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River 110 years ago
The photographer of this group is Chamberlain. On January 4, 1909, an American geologist, Zhang Bolin, and his son, Luo Lin, set out from Chicago and arrived in Shanghai on February 2 of the same year. During his stay in China, Zhang Bolun and his son visited 13 provinces, including Jiangsu, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hubei, Sichuan, Henan, Zhili, Shanxi, and took more than 600 photos recording the social life of the late Qing Dynasty
The delegation consists of four people in total, Ernest· Dr. Burton served as the head of the delegation, including Thomas&Middleot, a 66 year old professor at the University of Chicago at that time; Zhang Bolin, the only son of Zhang Bolin, Luo Lin·, works as a daily liaison, living and photographer; Zhang Bolin and a young Chinese translator, Mr. Wang (YT Wang). Rowling· Zhang Bolin carries two Kodak cameras with him. One is a camera that takes six rolls of large negative films (about 7X5 inches), and the other is a camera that takes 12 rolls of smaller negative films (about 4.5X3.5 inches). From
