This group of old photos is from the album “Mei Yinhua’s Images of China at the Beginning of the 20th Century”. This group of photos is an unusual group of glass slides, which were taken by Michel De Maynard, a French missionary of Franciscans. This series contains 230 images, which were shot in 1906-1912. Some of the images involve the 1911 Revolution. These precious images record the fierce changes in late Qing China
This series mainly records the situation in northern China at that time, including Mei Yinhua’s daily life in Shaanxi from 1910 to 1911
