中美合作所在存续期间，在美方的大力配合下，提供器具，技术，人员培训，间接参与了对中共政治犯的迫害，小说《红岩》就为我们展示了一部分当时历史。

重庆解放前夜，11.27惨案发生，白公馆逃生20人，渣子洞逃生15人，几百名进步民主人士与共产党员惨死于歌乐山下。重庆解放之日，歌乐山头一片哀声。谁之过?中美合作所能逃脱干系吗?
