Old photos of Zichuan and Boshan in Shandong in 1931

A group of old photos taken in Zibo, Shandong Province in 1931. This group of photos is from Yadong Printing Collection

In the first half of the last century, the Japanese invaders, in order to annex China, sent intelligence personnel to take a large number of human and geographical photos of China in the name of exploration and scholars, and published the “East Asia Prints Collection” between 1924 and 1944, a total of more than 2000 pieces. Many of these photos have long since disappeared, which has a high historical value for us to understand China during the Republic of China

淄川煤矿,因巨野教案的发生, 1904年德国人开建淄川煤矿,后1914年第一次世界大战德国战败,日本人便趁机占领煤矿,为其侵华战争提供了大量原煤
