滂江,又称明安,位于今内蒙古锡林郭勒盟苏尼特右旗,在旗政府所在地赛汉塔拉镇东南约25公里处。
滂江是南京国民党政府一度计划修建的平滂(北平——滂江)铁路终点站。蒙古德王为实现高度自治做准备,建立了一支由500多名兵员组成的“乌滂守备队”,驻扎在滂江,其中“乌”为“乌德(今蒙古国扎门乌得)”。这支部队专门担负由张家口到滂江地段的护路任务。
