This is a group of old photos taken by Japanese journalists accompanying the Japanese army when they captured Taiyuan in 1937, reflecting the whole process of the attack and occupation of Taiyuan

In September 1937, after the Japanese army broke through the Great Wall defense line of the Kuomintang army, they attacked Taiyuan along the Tongpu Line and Zhengtai Line. In late October 1937, Niangzi Pass fell. On the 5th, the Japanese army in the east occupied Yuci. On the 6th, the Japanese army in the north came to Taiyuan. On the 7th, with the cooperation of the Japanese air force, the two Japanese armies launched a general attack on Taiyuan. 8. The Japanese army attacked the city day and night and broke through the northern city wall, and the garrison Fu Zuoyi finally broke through. On November 9, Taiyuan fell
