On October 24, 1938, Japanese troops in Jiangbei occupied Huangpi, only two kilometers from Hankou. At 16:30 p.m. on October 25, the Japanese army attacked Hankou. At 8:00 a.m. on the 26th, Wuchang was captured, and all the three towns in Wuhan fell into the enemy’s hands. Until September 18, 1945, the Japanese Sixth Front Army in Hankou Zhongshan Park; Receiving Hall” Surrender. At 3 p.m., the Japanese army representatives signed the surrender. The Japanese army ruled Wuhan for eight years
