Joseph· Rock (Joseph Francis Charles) was born in Vienna on January 13, 1884. In 1905, Locke came to the United States alone. In 1911, he officially became a professor of botany at the University of Hawaii. In 1922, Locke went to China for an investigation via Myanmar and arrived in Yunnan in mid April

Simao District, subordinate to Pu’er City, Yunnan Province, is located in the south of Yunnan Province, the middle and south of Pu’er City, and the middle and lower reaches of the Lancang River
