At the end of the Ming Dynasty, Daban had formed its settlement. In the fifth year of Shunzhi’s reign in the Qing Dynasty (1648), the pastoral area of Bahrain was divided into two banners, namely, the left and the right. Sebuteng, the 21st grandson of Genghis Khan, the Emperor Taizu of the Yuan Dynasty, was granted the right wing flag of the auxiliary state, stationed at Tuohui Mountain (Taobai Mountain), and built the palace at the foot of Tuohui Mountain. After the Qing Dynasty, Daban was the residence of Zasak Palace, the right banner of Bahrain. During the period of the Japanese puppet regime, it was called Dabashang, the residence of the puppet flag office. 荟福寺在赤峰市巴林右旗大板镇内，俗称东大庙。清康熙四十五年（1706年）康熙帝次女荣宪公主主持兴建，初名巴尔斯（虎）庙，后改名荟福寺。此庙落成后不久，为迎接康熙帝巡幸巴林草原，特在庙北营建行宫1座，帝曾于康熙五十年至此，今行宫旧址尚存。

荟福寺现仍保持原有规模，有大门、前殿、后殿、东西配殿及后东侧室等，以后殿最为完整，面阔、进深各5间，重檐歇山顶，殿内佛像壁画俱存。
