A group of old photos of Linhe in Inner Mongolia (now Linhe District in the middle of Bayannur City) was released. Linhe belonged to Suiyuan Province at the time of taking this group of photos, and the photographer of this group of photos was American missionary Pickens

In September 1949, the authorities of Suiyuan Province announced an uprising, and Linhe County was under the Shanba Commissioner’s Office of Suiyuan. In 1954, Suiyuan Province was merged with Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. In the same year, the Shaanxi Dam Special Administration was renamed Hetao Administrative Region, and its membership remained unchanged. In 1958, Hetao Administrative Region was merged with Bayannur League, and Linhe County was subordinate to Bayannur League. On December 11, 1984, Linhe County was changed into a county-level city. On August 26, 2004, Bayannur was withdrawn from the league and set up as a city, which was called Bayannur City, and Linhe City was renamed Linhe District
