山城镇，现隶属于吉林省通化市梅河口市，地处梅河口市西南部，东与黑山头镇接壤。清初，为鲜围场。清光绪六年（1880年），属海龙抚民厅之右弼镇。民国二年（1913年），设山城镇。

海龙县，现吉林省梅河口市所辖镇名。1902年光绪年间设为海龙府。1913年，改海龙府为海龙县，隶属于奉天省东边道。1929年2月，废除道制，改奉天省为辽宁省，海龙县承受之归辽宁省所属。

辉发城址，位于吉林省通化市辉南县辉发城镇政府所在地西南4公里的辉发山上，是明代女真扈伦四部之一辉发部的都城   ，辉发部在此建立了辉发国，后明万历年间被努尔哈赤所灭。
辉发城址三面环水，一面临河谷平原，城分内城、中城、外城3层。辉发城址发现的王族墓地中出土了金帽顶、青花瓷等大批文物 。
