Shache County, which belongs to Kashgar region of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Shache County is located in the southwest border of Xinjiang, the northern foot of Kunlun Mountain, the southern edge of Pamir Plateau, and between Taklimakan Desert and Buguri Desert
Shache has a history of more than 3000 years. It has become a famous tribal state in the Western Regions for several times, successively called Shache State, Qusha State, and Yerqiang Khanate, and is the hub of the ancient Silk Road and an important military garrison. It is a famous historical and cultural city integrating human landscape and natural landscape, Central Asian culture and Western region culture
