1900 Photographs of Mongolian women in Karka

An old photo of Mongolian beautiful women in Karka in the Qing Dynasty taken in 1900

Karka Mongolia is the name of the Mongolian tribes in Mobei in the Qing Dynasty. It first appeared in the Ming Dynasty and got its name from the distribution of the Khalkha River. Since the end of the Qing Dynasty, it has gradually become Outer Mongolia. Its predecessor was Zaci Yi’er tribe (a Shiwei—— Tatar tribe that moved westward earlier). This group of photos records the image of upper class Mongolian women near the Karka River. Their clothes are very gorgeous and exquisite. The headwear has the characteristics of ancient tribal culture of animal worship. Its shape is like a horn of a cow, showing the characteristics of spectacular atmosphere, but modern people seem very strange
