The painting title comes from Bai Juyi’s “Farewell to Willow Branches”: “Who can learn more from children’s plays and chase the spring breeze to catch willow flowers?” And Yang Wanli’s “Living in Leisure in the Early Summer, Taking a nap”: “Sleeping everyday without feeling, watching children catch willow flowers.”
