Dong Qichang (1555-1636 AD) was a native of Huating (now Shanghai). The word is Xuanzai, and the number is Sibai. In the 16th year of Wanli’s reign, the official went to the Ministry of Rites to minister. He is good at collecting and painting. Dong Ju, the founder of Shanshui School, is a master of various schools in the Song and Yuan Dynasties. Advocating the Southern and Northern Sect theory, and taking the Southern Sect as the orthodoxy, it had a great influence on the painting world in the Qing Dynasty.
