Dong Qichang wrote this volume at the end of the fortieth year of Wanli (1612), leaving a wide blank memory block along the edge of the mountain in the painting, which is deeply characteristic of Dong Qichang. However, the details are carefully explained, and the wide space layout is more reasonable and normal, more similar to Zhao Zuo’s work. Later, he received Mi Fu’s “Magnificent Songs of Chu” and a brief comment on Mi Fu’s and Zhao Mengfu’s works, which can be seen in Rongtai Collection.
