  • Description:
When Dong Qichang traveled through Kunshan Mountain in August of the fortieth year of Wanli (1612), Sun Wenlong, a fellow scholar on the same list, presented the Annals of Chengtian Mansion compiled by the governor. The Chengtian Mansion is located in Hubei, so the Dong family quoted the story of Mi Fu, a native of Xiangyang, Hubei, who drew the picture of “Clear Dawn in the Chu Sky” as a gift. Later, it was collected by Wang Shimin and asked the Dong family to make another postscript in the fifth year of Tianqi (1625). In the painting, mountains and rocks are mainly depicted in the form of Ma Cun, but the edges are mostly decorated with horizontal rice dots. A large expanse of cloud rises in the valley on the right, showing the interest of Mijia Cloud Mountain. The slightly right leaning Watli Mountain in the middle view, and the crisscross and irregular spatial memory blocks, all allow the original stable composition to derive infinite interest.
