Since the Yongle period, Jingdezhen can burn pure red glazed porcelain. The mouth of these two red glazed high foot bowls is wide, deep, and high. The whole vessel is covered with red glaze. The glaze juice is bright and thick, and the vessel color is bright. The inner wall of the utensil has a pattern of two dragons playing with pearls, while the outer wall is simple without decorative patterns. In the heart of the bowl, there are “Yongle Nian” double line four character seal characters, plus lace. High temperature red glaze ware is made of copper as color developer and fired at high temperature in reducing atmosphere. It is one of the most difficult color glaze varieties to be fired successfully. Because it is particularly sensitive to the requirements of temperature and atmosphere, it can not get pure red even if it is a little careless. Therefore, a large number of red glaze ware selected from Jingdezhen Zhushan Site have also been destroyed and buried due to firing failure.
