  • Description:
Hongwuguan Kiln has many large objects. The surviving works mainly focus on large plates and bowls. Some of the shapes of the objects are inherited from the Yuan Dynasty. This round mouth and large bowl with arc wall, with shallow and thick beveled feet, has thick fetal bones. In the center of the bowl, three rose bushes from the same root are depicted, with a circle of ripples; The inner wall of the utensil is decorated with eight intertwining patterns at equal intervals, the outer wall near the mouth edge is filled with formal wavy patterns between two green lines, the main pattern on the belly of the utensil is intertwining camellia, and there is a deformed lotus petal pattern near the foot; Blue and white flowers have uniform hair color, cobalt blue with iron brown spots, and the feet are red with flint. Similar works can be seen in the Hongwu Formation of the Zhushan Relic. At the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, Jingdezhen fired blue and white and underglaze red products for the government. Works with the same manuscript often have multiple types of glaze colors. Our hospital has Hongwu underglaze red works (Chinese porcelain 323) of the same style.
