Chen Hongshou (1599-1652) was born in Zhuji, Zhejiang Province. Zhang Hou, Laolian, Laochi, Yunmen Monk, etc. He is good at painting flowers and birds, grass and insects and landscapes, and figure painting is excellent. In front of the tall Taihu Lake stone stood three monks, who looked like foreign monks with thick eyebrows, high noses and tall heads. According to the title of the artist on the painting, they are Amitabha, Avalokitesvara and Da Shi Zhi Bodhisattva. The three figures are in strange shapes, with their heads out of proportion to their bodies. The painter used square and hard lines to draw the pattern of clothes. It looks like steel wire, strong and powerful.
