This painting is based on the “Song of Resentment” by the imperial concubines of the Han Dynasty: “I am always afraid that the autumn festival will come, and the cold wind will seize the heat. I will abandon my donation and keep it in the middle of my heart.” Under the palm tree, Banji stands with a fan. In front of the court, there is a hollyhock planted again, which points out the late summer season. The painting of flowers with no bone method and the three white methods of ladies’ faces in the painting are very close to Du Jin’s “antique painting”, from which we can observe the origin and development of Tang Yin’s style. In addition, the study and judgment of the calligraphy style of Wen Zhengming’s title above the painting should be made by Wen after he was 40 years old. The article was written in the same year as Tang Dynasty, so this painting can be regarded as Tang Yin’s work at this time (159 hectares).
